At only 10 km, there is San Galgano (1288) a beautyful gothic building, - without a roof. In summer the place is also used for performances.

Near S.Galgano, on top of a hill , you can visit the Eremo di Monte Siepi (1185) ,a romanic church where the sword of San Galgano is kept pushed into a rock, in memory of the Galgano di Guidotto spiritual convertion.

Siena(at 20 km), is rich of cultural and artistic attractions; for example the museum of the "Palazzo Comunale", the "Pinacoteca nazionale", the modern art centre of "Palazzo delle Papesse"and the Chathedral (Duomo).
